A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Alyss: A few of you already know me, as semi-mythological Alyss Roaz.
Alyss: You have been rescued from durance vile, and are aboard my starship, the Eva Jeanne.
Panel 2
Medium c/u on Alyss, flanked by Lupin, Sargon and Elric.
Alyss: These men with me are Lupin, Sargon and Elric, Zytemondian refugees, like yourselves, who I rescued a bit earlier.
Alyss: We offer you the freedom to choose your paths from here …
Alyss: … but with no guarantees. The consequences for good or ill will be yours to bear.
