Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter Success! [ May 13, 2025 ]
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
Panel 1
In open plaza, with a large, blocky building in the background, a dozen of the Fftpplts wait roughly 12 meters away as the 'hopper' pops onto its target.
SFX: POP!!!
Panel 2
Four of the dozen Fftpplts step forward as our protagonists emerge from the hopper. One of the Fftpplts is shorter and portly, and is flanked by a pair of tall, muscular males. A slender female brings up the rear.
Portly Fftpplt (translated): Welcome to Bbrrrbtpff. I am Pfbbtt-pfft, chief administrator for this colony.
Murphy: I am Captain Murphy of the starship Causa Sui and these are my companions, Doctor Hugo Galvéz and Eithne Lamdagan.
Panel 3
Pfbbt-pfft and Murphy fist-bump in greeting, but the administrator's question proves problematic.
Pfbbt-pfft: Very pleased to meet all of you.
Pfbbt-pfft: I'm afraid the report I received did not include which government you represent.
Murphy: Ah, that will take a bit of explaining, I'm afraid.
