To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Our trio and the four Fftpplts enter the large building through a grand entryway. Several functionaries are walking about, looking busy.
Pfbbtt-pfft: So you don't represent any government? Are you free-booters?
Murphy: 'Free-lancers' may be a better term. We are explorers.
Panel 2
Closer shot of Murphy and Pfbbtt-pfft, including some of the retinue.
Pfbbtt-pfft: Explorers? What are you looking for?
Murphy: We came to your galaxy on a mapping mission.
Murphy: We note star systems and planets of interest, and catalog them.
Panel 3
They enter a conference room, as the administrator gestures towards the table.
Pfbbtt-pfft: Please have a seat.
Pfbbtt-pfft: Does your catalog note which planets are inhabited?
Murphy: If by that you mean which planets have sapient life-forms, well, you are the first technological specie we've encountered.
Panel 4
PP sits at the head of the table, as his male guards remain standing, a few steps back. Murphy sits at his left, the female assistant across from Murphy. Hugo and Eithne are seated next to Murphy.
PP: The first? That seems hard to believe.
Murphy: In our home galaxy, humanity and its off-shoots are the only technological race currently extant.
Murphy: Simple life is plentiful; intelligent life is rare among the stars.
Panel 5
Angle focuses on PP, Murphy and Eithne. PP is cracking a joke, as Eithne rolls her eyes. Her speech balloon-tail points to the necklace she's wearing.
PP: I have observed that intelligence is rare even among intelligent species. {Honk!}
Murphy: Yes, this is a common observation among my own people as well.
Eithne: You might say it's a universal problem.
Panel 6
PP and Hugo all looking at Eithne, who is a bit embarrassed now by the attention. Murphy is glaring at Hugo.
PP: You are using a voder? Do you have a speech impediment?
Eithne: I … I guess I do, so far as your language is concerned.
Hugo: Let's just say her mouth has other talents.
Murphy (thoughtsend): HUGO!!!
