A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 1578
Panel 1In the airlock anteroom, Hugo and Murphy are greeting Captain Shlack and two crewmembers (not the same ones we saw on their bridge).
Shlack: Welcome aboard the Dryhaven. This is my first officer, Shransh, and my yeoman, Prenk.
Murphy: Well met, Captain Shlack. How shall we proceed?
Panel 2
Shlack leads Hugo and Murphy into a passageway. The other Soraxians fall in behind.
Shlack: We have a conference area this way.
Shlack: So you're explorers? Where do you hail from, if I may ask?
Murphy: You may find that rather difficult to believe.
Panel 3
The group progresses down the passageway.
Shlack: If it's anything other than something like, 'from another galaxy,' I could accept that.
Hugo: Life is full of interesting challenges, isn't it?
