Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Quantum Vibe: This Means War (Part 3) - By Scott Bieser

Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]

The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.

Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Thanks to all for supporting this Kickstarter!

Transcript For Strip 1639

Panel 1
Establishing shot of Campeche Rock. It's actually a collection of rocks – a largish rubble-pile, boulders from five to a hundred meters across, held together in a web of metallic conduits and dotted with various artificial structures and doo-dads. The Ha'arokk is small in the foreground before it.
Eithne (from ship): They should call it Campeche Rocks.
Ralf: That is the claim of a musical group called 'The Pedantics.'
Panel 2
Ralf and Eithne at the control console.
Ralf: The dockmaster should be contacting us ...
Dockmaster (electronic): Attention approaching Rorchark-class cruiser with no transponder!
Ralf: … Right on cue.
Dockmaster: You are directed to Slip 37. Slow to one-half kam/second and follow our beam.
Panel 3
Exterior shot of the Ha'arokk entering a large docking bay, through an entrance 10 times its width and height.
Eithne (from ship): At least they don't insist on taking flight control from us.
Ralf (from ship): That would be considered rude here. But if you bump into something the consequences may be dire.
