A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Adam: The Cush are a non-player race which was supposed to remain on the fringes the players' territories for another … 1.5 of your gigaseconds. Right now none of the player races, or even all of them together, can resist a serious assault from them. It's just futile.
Adam: The Brennir are my player race. At the rate things are going I'll be out of the game in less than 20 megaseconds.

Adam: The game is now seriously unbalanced. We want you to help us re-balance it.
Eithne: You guys are practically all-powerful. Why don't you just wish Theo away and re-set the game to the point before he entered?
