Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Cut to: Juan's office. Diana is there, reviewing what Juan has learned.
Caption: Juan filled me in later …
Diana: I remember the news about that fire-bombing.
Diana: A big splash and then … nothing. There was no follow-up.
Juan: According to Paul, Smith & Holder buried the investigation.
Panel 2
Diana looks concerned.
Diana: Buried –?
Juan: Basically, they gave him a large pay-off for damages and told him to shut up about it.
Juan: That's why he resigned and went into hiding.
Panel 3
Diana and Juan, both looking worried.
Diana: Geebus. Smith & Holder is the biggest assurance agency in the City.
Diana: In fact, it's my assurance agency. If they've been compromised ...
Juan: I'll send a report to Roaz, warning her. I think she's a client of theirs as well.
Panel 4
Diana and Juan
Diana: You think maybe we should take your friend's advice and drop this?
Juan: Diana, reputation in this business is everything.
Juan: I don't want to be known as the investigator who runs away from trouble.
