Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Quantum Vibe: This Means War (Part 1) - By Scott Bieser

Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]

The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.

Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Thanks to all for supporting this Kickstarter!

Transcript For Strip 1839

Panel 1
Dong and Diana standing behind the super-flyer, now shown in the lower foreground.
Dong: So what do you wish to be done with this?
Diana: Disable all trackers and recorders, for now.
Diana: And then let's get the hell out of here.
Panel 2
Dong pulls out another gadget.
Dong: That will require time and suitable space and tools I did not bring.
Dong: However, with this we can mask any transmissions coming from the vehicle, which accomplishes the same result.
Diana: Well … if you're sure it works as promised.
Panel 3
Wook and Areum have gathered around Dong and Diana. Dong is beginning to disassemble his scanner.
Dong: Yes, but it is only a temporary solution.
Dong: I will direct us to a safe place with the suitable space and tools to make a more enduring one.
Dong: We should get moving now.
Panel 4
The group is climbing into the flyer (to facilitate, the canopy has folded itself back and down, but with no doors, everyone has to climb into the cabin like a cockpit.) Dong is quite spry for his size; Diana is a bit clumsy about it.
Diana: How will you know that your masking thingamajigee is working?
Dong: Do not worry about that. It was constructed by the finest thingamajigee makers in Bubbleopolis.
