Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 1934

Panel 1
In the super-flyer cabin, Diana ponders as Areum sits at the controls.

Caption: We spent a fruitless hour looking around for Bouissou.
Caption: I found it odd that no one would admit to seeing a frantic conehead dashing about like a maniac.
Caption: All I could do at that point was send a coded warning to Zander, and focus on my next subject.
Panel 2
Exterior view of the super-flyer arcing toward a very large building shaped like vanilla wafer with a dome on one side.
Caption: Raynal wanted to meet at the HipĆ³dromo de Sousa.
Caption: Horse-racing is a thousand-year-old game f old Terra.
Caption: Not a cult so much as a sub-culture, one of hundreds in The City.
Panel 3
Broad view of interior of the race-track, a horse-race is in progress. We see some of the stands and some of the track. Blue sky beyond, no hint of the dome.
Caption: By custom, there is no electronic surveillance in the public areas here.
Caption: I think it's because no one wants his partner to find out he lost a cycle's pay betting on the horses.
Caption: So, this is a good way to meet clandestinely out in the open.
Panel 4
We now see Carmine Raynal seated in the second-to-back row of the stands, wearing a trench coat and broad-brimmed hat. There are other attendees in the frame but open seats around her.
Caption: Carmine Raynal was where she said she'd be.
Caption: And not looking suspicious at all in her trench coat and floppy hat.
