Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Jerome Falstaff is delivering some news from his Noticías Inacreditável set.
Jerome: This just in:
Jerome: We have received a communique from a group calling itself ̏Society For Justice˝ claiming responsibility for the devastating attack on 11 Septiary.
Panel 2
Bok is delivering some news from his own Las Noticías Indelicadas set. There's a date stamp in the lower corner
Bok: The communique was sent to the Five Pillars and the city's four largest assurance agencies.
Bok: Of course, many such messages from a variety of sources have poured in, nearly all of which are hoaxes, pranks, and general trolling.
Date Stamp: 19.07.1076
Panel 3
Back to Jerome, medium shot
Jerome: But this one is reportedly being taken seriously, coming in through undisclosed diplomatic channels.
Jerome: The SFJ statement declares the attack was a response to 'capitalist exploitation by unaccountable corporations based in Novo Paolo.' (By which they mean, Bubbleopolis.)
Panel 4
Back to Bok, medium shot
Bok: The message is puzzling, inasmuch as we don't have 'corporations' in Bubbleopolis, although we do have some joint-stock companies. We are all accountable for our actions.
Bok: The SFJ statement demands immediate cessation of this 'exploitation,' although it was not made clear exactly what that means, either.
