Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1No we see both Jerome's screen and Bok's screen, holo-projected (indistinct background) at 45 deg Z relative to each other.
Jerome: The statement did make a specific reference to the notorious Alyss Roaz and demanded she cease 'interference in matters she does not understand.'
Bok: Roaz has spent much of the last century studying intentional colonies but it's anyone's guess what sort of 'interference' is being objected to.
Panel 2
At the Five Pillars conference table, above which the screens were projected (they are fading out now). Focus on Lorelei and Alyss.
Lorelei: So you're 'notorious' now.
Alyss: I guess I should not have barked at Falstaff last Segundary.
Alyss: But I haven't been bothering anyone for the last five years!

Focus on Enrique and Jorge
Enrique: Verma speculates it could have taken the enemy almost that long to have revved up their missile.
Jorge: Even so, they could have any number of more like it being primed, ready for someone to pull the trigger.
Jorge: I hate having to just sit here waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Kofi, Lorelei and Alyss
Kofi: Clearly this communique is ideological butt-gas. We must discern what the enemy really wants.
Alyss: That's why I asked Da Costa and Montoya to work together on that question.
Lorelei: Francisco and Albert working together? That should be interesting.
