Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Ka and Albert continue along the boardwalk. The shadowy figure still follows. He's the guy in the doorway of Daisy Haze a few pages back.
Albert: I know she's not in Bubbleopolis – which is quite civilized, by the way.
Albert: But Shārén and Cahuenga Renascido are whole planets.
Albert: Did Zondra mention any favorite places on t hose worlds?
Panel 2
Ka and Albert proceed out of the frame to right. The shadowy figure is now a bit more recognizeable.
Ka: On Shārén, there's a burg about 1500 klicks from the capitol city: Sovad.
Ka: I think that's where she's originally from.
Albert (thought): Well, that squares with the data Sergio gave me.
Panel 3
Now the Shadowy Figure is moving to the right of the frame and we see ANOTHER figure following.
Albert (OP): How about that other world – Cahuenga?
Ka (OP): It's a kind of back-to-nature camp for city tourists. She said she liked to 'lose herself' there.
Albert (OP) (thought): But if she's hiding she won't go anyplace she's easily recognized, so ...
Panel 4
The second figure comes more into view. He is dressed in flowing, light-colored robes, and hooded, but a bit of reddish-brown curls peek out.
Albert: Did she talk about any place she'd LIKE to go but never has?
Ka: Hmmm …. couple of places. A planet called 'Bad Axe,' and some place she called 'Hasta La Vista' but I don't think it's a planet.
