Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Scene continues. Daskalov cocks an eyebrow towards Otto as she takes the piss a bit.
Daskalov: Ok, well, I hope your purpose is being useful, because our patient could use our attention.
Otto: Right, sorry.
Panel 2
Daskalov is peering into the patient's ear while Otto braces the patient with one hand on a shoulder and the other helping to support her head.
Daskalov: Right now I need you to support her and monitor her condition while I examine the micro-weavers' work.
Otto: Micro-weavers?
Panel 3
Show the micro-weavers in action, constructing a new tympanum inside the patient's ear. Daskalov speaks from a small cameo:
Daskalov (cameo): Sort of the predecessors to modern proteinites. They're creating a new artificial ear-drum, malleus, incus and stapes, out of silicate fibers.
Daskalov: Once we get her hearing restored we work on her lips and tongue, so we can finally communicate.
Panel 4
Reverse angle to show Otto and Daskalov. Otto is looking toward the other patients.
Otto: Are the others here injured this severely?
Daskalov: Pretty much. If helping them is now your purpose in life you've taken on a pretty damn big job.
Otto: Well, it's not like I have a busy social schedule.
