Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole and Seamus confronting the customs official. Seamus is reaching past Nicole to hand him a pair of plastic cards.
Seamus: I am Dr. Seamus O Murchadha and this is Nicole Oresme, and we're from L-5 City, traveling together.
Panel 2
The official holds the cards before him, but he eyeballs Nicole suspiciously. She continues to look cheerful.
Official: And what is the nature of your relationship, traveling together?
Nicole: I'm his technical assistant and part-time stunt pilot.
Panel 3
The official hands one of the cards back to Seamus, holds onto the other.
Official: Your documents are in order, Dr. O Murchadha, you may take the line on the right.
Official: Ms. Oresme, you are being randomly selected for additional screening. Take the line on the left, please.
Panel 4
Seamus tries to protest, Nicole looks frightened. The official is implacable.
Seamus: But – we're traveling together, I need her with me ...
Official: Please don't make this more difficult for everyone, Dr. O Murchadha.
