Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
Transcript For Strip 231
Panel 1A somewhat nervous Nicole approaches another Customs station, with a tough-looking female Customs agent, standing next to a control console of some sort. The agent points to a 1-meter-square rectangle taped onto the floor.
Agent: That's right, miss, come this way and stand in the square.
Panel 2
Two-shot of customs agent and Nicole.
Agent: Now, raise your arms so we can scan you.
Nicole: Scan? Why do you want to scan me? What did I do?
Panel 3
Agent crosses her arms and growls at Nicole, who looks intimidated.
Agent: Look, miss, my advice is not to give me any trouble.
Agent: I get L-5 people here all the time, thinking they can just do whatever they want.
Agent: Now, spread your arms or I'll have a colleague come over and spread them for you. Got it?

A cone of light shines down on Nicole, who has spread her arms. A light flashes on the console.
SFX: BWAARP!
Agent: Yeah, I thought so.
Nicole: What is it?
Panel 5
The Agent, intimidating as ever, and Nicole, the intimidatee.
Agent: I'll ask the questions here, miss.
Agent: Are you wearing any sort of holographic projection device?
Panel 6
Medium close-up on Nicole, still stressed.
Nicole:Well, sure, my anysuit uses holographic …
Agent: Deactivate your anysuit, please.
Panel 7
The agent and Nicole. Nicole looks around her nervously..
Nicole: Here? In the open?
Agent: Holography interferes with the scanner. Now, do as you're told.
Panel 8
Two-shot of the agent and Nicole. The agent is rolling her eyes, as Nicole stands with her suit deactivated, exposing its true leotard-like form, along with her utility belt. Feeling naked, Nicole is covering her breasts and her crotch almost instinctively.
Agent: {sigh} Hold your arms outward for the scanner, miss. I doubt you have anything I haven't seen already.
Nicole: Then why do you need to scan me?
