Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
QV on a short break [ Jul 15, 2026 ]
QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.
In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.
Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.
Panel 1
Tomás Lohman stands before Arb Rico. We can see Jenkins in the background
Lohman: It is my sad duty to inform the court that Respondent Mitch Elvin and his family have … disappeared without leaving contact info.
Lohman: I hereby tender my resignation as respondent’s avogado..
Panel 2
Focus on Rico, angled so we can see him past Lohman, who is stepping aside. We see the backs of the audience’s heads in the foreground.
Rico: In that event, I rule that the respondent forfeits.
Rico: All of Elvin’s property on Novo Palermo is hereby awarded to the plaintiffs.
Panel 3
Jenkins stands to face Rico, who is also standing:
Jenkins: Can we engage you to assist in settling the distribution we come to?
Rico: I can examine it and give an opinion, for what that’s worth.
Panel 4
Jenkins faces the assembled spectators.
Jenkins: Folks, the good news is you are all going to become considerably wealthier.
Jenkins: The bad news is it’s up to us to sort out how to divide this, and this could be contentious.
Pan el 5
Focus on Jenkins, but we see Situ Li-Liang looking on from the from row of the audience,
Jenkins: But the good news is that the Belter Compact, which we all agreed to when we signed on here, offers a solid framework for negotiation.
Jenkins: Better yet, we have one of the Compact’s framers with us.
Panel 6
Focus Julius and Situ
Julius: Congratulations. You’re now a marked man.
Li: Damn. I can’t just bail out, myself. It’ll set a bad example for my kids.
