Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Inside the O'Neill Obloid Habitat, aka The Bloid. It is an obloid sphere 20 km long and 12 km across its widest beam, with a vast array of 'land' – farmland, mainly -- and water bodies spread along its inner surface. Through the major axis runs a bi-directional tram-way, and at 120-degree increments around the tram way are arrayed a series of rings, each roughly 60 meters in diameter and each ring-array spaced 180 meters apart, through which streams of Bubb-traffic flow (2 streams are passenger Bubbs and the third, which is actually double-ringed, carries freight).
Nicole (thought): Figures that this 'detour' turns out to be the route through the Bloid.
Panel 2
Medium shot of Nicole in her Bubb passing through the rings, along with other Bubbs. Everyone is oriented with their heads pointing towards the central axis tram-way.
Nicole (thought): Man, this place has seen better days. Must be getting on 300 years old.
Panel 3
Looking 'down' on Nicole, with some of the farmland almost 6km below, crisscrossed with roadways, sliding by under her feet. She is holding her left palm in front of her, facing back, as if she's holding a mobile phone. With her right hand she pushing her index finger against her left palm, as if pressing its buttons.
Nicole (thought): Might as well pingup Philbert, he should be home by now.
Panel 4
Medium close-up on Nicole, her palm alongside her head, her expression a mix of confusion and annoyance.
Nicole: Huh. No answer. No answer? What's up with that?
