View of Mars (aka Huǒxīng) from space. It is largely terra-formed, with an ocean spanning much of the northern hemisphere and the mighty Valles Marineris spread just south of the equator, and itself partially filled with water. There are water clouds but only about a fourth as much coverage as on Terra.

Caption (Seamus): 'We have the Helio-Flyer reserved and I have an assistant now who will pilot the craft, since I will be unable to perform that task.'

Low-aerial view of a mansion, which has a broad balcony extending outward from its third storey. At this distance we can just make out an elderly man in something that looks like an overstuffed Barcalounger, facing the low Martian Sun.
Seamus: 'You'll get to meet her when we get up to your neighborhood. You'll like her – she's very bùqūbùnáo.'

Panel 3
Medium full-shot of the man, our Po Xu-ke, listening to Seamus on his own Screen device. Po looks ancient, bald-headed, is wrapped in saffron robes in his mobile barcalounger.
Seamus: 'I will of course inform you when Stage 1 is successfully completed. Until then, I remain your friend, Seamus Ó Murchadha .'

A beautiful femiform android, walks up next to Po. He looks ahead wistfully through sightless eyes.
Android: A message from a friend, Master Po?
Po: One of the few I have left anymore, I'm afraid.
