A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Android: Your nephews wish to speak with you.
Po: They can wait. Listen to me, Veronica, time is short.

Po takes Veronica's hand in his.
Po: A man like me has few friends and many parasites. Beware!
Po: In this household, you are the only one I trust.

With his other hand, Po gestures Veronica to lean closer, which she does.
Po: I will be gone soon. At that time, you must contact my attorney, Bei Xuan-Kuang.
Po: He has important documents and can be trusted.

Same shot, although Veronica looks a bit startled at Po's words.
Po: You will be sent off-world, with manumission papers. And a quarter of my estate.
Po: I am hoping my nephews will be satisfied with the other 75 percent.
