A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
In the ball room, Nicole and Ventura sit by themselves at a table. Ventura looks around, Nicole stares in to the drink in her hand.
Ventura: It seems that the other guests are even less interested in speaking with us now.
Nicole: Fine. If I'm gonna be a pariah let it be on my own terms.

Panel 2
Nicole takes a gulp of her drink, as Ventura looks on.
Nicole: At least the booze here is pretty ...
Seamus (thoughtsend): Ladies, unfortunately I'm going to be occupied for quite a bit longer ...

Panel 3
The girls' eyes widen a bit as they listen to Seamus' thoughtsend.
Seamus (thoughtsend): So enjoy the party and save some pudding for me, okay?

Panel 4
As one, Ventura and Nicole get to their feet.
Ventura: Pudding.
Nicole: Yep, don't have to tell me twice.
