Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Buford, Murphy and Nicole at the table in Callahan's. An android waiter is standing by.
Buford: Uh, make mine a half-liter t'is time.
Murphy: Uh, I'll pass this time.
Nicole: Anudder scotch 'n' wadder. Maghe idda Springbank dis dime, 'kay?

Two-shot of Murphy and Nicole. Murphy looks worried, Nicole looks like she has no worries.
Murphy: I must say I'm concerned you seem to have a drinking problem.
Nicole: Whad drinkin problum? I can drink jus fine, no problum!
Panel 4
Cut to: Seamus entering the station through Gate 5, his brow furrowed in thought.
Seamus (thought): This is madness.
Seamus (thought): I don't _really_ need to bring Nicole the rest of the way through this slog.
Panel 5
Seamus still thinks furiously as he approaches the Muc Ar Foulain consulate
Seamus (thought): I thought she'd be safer if I kept her with me until the end.
Seamus (thought): If I sent her back to L-5, my enemies could grab her and use her as leverage against me.
Panel 6
Seamus has found his way to Callahan's, and is approaching the table with the girls. Buford has her smaller beer glass, and Nicole has her whisky shot in one hand has turned to look at him.
Nicole: Oh, look!
Nicole: It's Uncle Grampa!
Nicole: Whatcha got in store fer us terday, Uncle Grampa?
Panel 7
Same shot -- a pause, as Buford and Murphy look at each other with confusion, and Nicole smiles at Seamus expectantly. Seamus is momentarily non-plussed.

Panel 8
Seamus bursts into laughter, grabbing an empty chair to stabilize himself. Buford and Murphy look perplexed, Nicole knocks back her drink.
Seamus: {SNORT!} BWAAAA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!
Buford: I don't geddit.
Nicole: Heez bin unner a lodda stress ladely.
