Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Signing and Shipping [ Jan 10, 2025 ]
Scott has finished autographing all the books, and we've started shipping them out. Your physical perks should show up in the next week or so (might be a bit longer for international shipments). We expect to send out vouchers (via email) to those who wanted the PDF e-books.
Once again, many thanks to our backers. Stand by for further updates.
Panel 1
Exterior view of Argosy. Laser cannon are prominently visible near the base of the ship's 'spines.' We see two of them in this frame, firing bright bolts of light, presumably there are two more out of view.
Mueller (from ship): Corsairs are now at 20 klicks and closing!
Santos: Fire lasers!
Strider: Cannon 2 and 3 firing, sir.
Panel 2
Inside the control cabin, Mueller looks terrified, Strider looks grim.
Mueller: No effect! How can there be no effect?
Strider: Corsairs are slowing, 10 klicks now.
Mueller: You must have missed them!
Panel 3
Looking past Santos at Mueller and Strider.
Strider: Direct hit on Cannon 3 sir! Inoperative.
Mueller: How is this happening?
Santos: Continue firing on target as each cannon comes to bear!
Panel 4A
Santos turns to Bartoli.
Santos: Bartoli! Send a general distress call. We are under attack!
Bartoli: Aye sir!
Panel 4B
Close-up on Santos, gritting his teeth.
Santos: And, send a realtime stream of our sensor data!
Santos: Even if we're destroyed, I want a record of our attackers' methods.
