Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Seamus and the girls are back in Seamus' suite, putting boxes in the rolling suitcases. Seamus is supervising.
Caption: Not long afterward:
Nicole: So now you're giving this arsehole your EM-shield device?
Seamus: Trading, actually.
Panel 2
Closer 2-shot of Nicole and Seamus.
Nicole: Trading for what?
Seamus (thoughtsend): When our project is completed, I'll need some resources for the next stage, and Captain Hernandez has agreed to provide access to them.
Panel 3
Three-shot of Nicole, Seamus and Murphy walking along a corridor, the rolling suitcases in tow.
Murphy: I … I'm sure Seamus knows what he's doing and is a fair judge of this … pirate.
Seamus: Oh, you're sure, are you? Why?
Panel 4
Murphy is taken aback. Nicole is bemused. Seamus explains.
Seamus: I'm flattered that you trust me so much but really, you barely know me. Only a half-dozen visits when Po was alive and just a few weeks since then.
Seamus: Nicole's skeptical attitude is more realistic. Even though she's wrong in this case.
