A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Standing in the doorway, Murphy looks around, taking in the room. Nicole is getting to her feet.
Murphy: Hm. Kind of cosy for a cell, if you ask me.
Nicole: Yeah, it's cozy, but it's still …
Nicole: … a cell.
Nicole arches her back, with her hands placed over her kidneys in that way women do.
Murphy: You're too young to have back problems.
Nicole: I'm not used to the 8-grav field* they keep on this tub.

Nicole starts to walk towards the doorway.
Murphy: Do you know where your Anysuit and gear are?
Nicole: Not a clue. I woke up in these pyjamas.
Murphy: Perhaps Cristina will know.
Close two shot of Nicole and Murphy
Nicole: Who's Cristina?
Murphy: The A.I. of this 'tub'. So watch your mouth.
