Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 902

Strip 195
Panel 1
Exterior shot of the Cissonius with Isabel Paterson assuming a parallel vector about 50 meters away. Cissonius looks tiny next to the freighter.
Isabel: Sensors showing zero relative velocity. Cutting engines on mark …
Bill (from Cissonius, electronic): Acknowledged.
Isabel: 3 … 2 … 2 …. MARK
Panel 2
Both ships are now coasting, no engine flare. From a largish hatch on the side of the IP, comes a tiny figure, with a bundled pod, riding the same space-buggy with which Toombs shanghaied Nicole earlier.
Isabel: Passengers are now in transit.
Bill: Roger that, our cargo deck is depressurized, hatch open.
Panel 3
A closer look now at the buggy, approaching Cissonius. It's Nicole with her Space-Diver jacket in environment-suit mode.
Bill (from Cissonius, electronic): Ahoy Captain Oresme.
Bill: Our engineer anxiously reminds you to use maneuvering thrusters only, and not trash his nice deck again with that main engine.
Nicole: Tell Hugh to put his big-boy pants on.
Panel 4
Inside the Cissonius, Nicole gently settles the buggy to the deck.
Nicole: I could do this in my sleep.
Nicole: In fact, I practically did that, once.
Panel 5
Seamus, Bill, Nelson, Mineola, Dorothy and Fred are crammed into the lift.
Bill: The bay is re-pressurizing now, it wont' be long
Nelson: I hope not, I get a bit claustrophobic.
Fred: If one of you farts I'm gonna kick ya in the shins.
Panel 6
The lift door opens and its occupants spill out.
Mineola: Finally!
Nelson: I think I'll take the stairs next time.
Fred: Where are they?
Panel 7
They round the central core to spot Nicole. She has the pod on the deck and is squatting down next to it, starting to open it.
Dorothy: There you are! How are you, honey?
Seamus: What happened to Murphy? You wouldn't say anything about her.
Nicole: Just a sec.
Panel 8
Looking down at Nicole squatting next to the open pod, revealing the inter Murphy, the rucksack on her belly. We can see the back of Seamus' head and one or two of the others at the bottom of the frame. Nicole is looking up at Seamus with little-girl eyes.
Nicole: Uncle Grampa, my Robot-Girl is broken. Can you fix her?
