A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Nicole and Murphy approach the doors to the dining hall, where Johanna and Seamus, also dressed to the nines, are waiting for them.
Nicole: Oh good, we're not late.
Johanna: My apologies, Nicole – we don't do fancy dinners often and it's taking the staff extra time to get the room ready.
Panel 2
Looking at Johanna from a different angle, she gestures and another woman – tall, tan, bald, and in an evening dress, steps out of the shadows.
Johanna: So I might as well introduce my other guest ...
Johanna: Ms. Antigone Stone

Nicole rushes forward to greet her friend. Seamus is peering at her quizzically. Murphy simply looks on.
Seamus: My word –!
Nicole: Antigone! I've never seen you before without your headgear.
Antigone: Hello, young sister. I'm off-duty right now.

Nicole introduces Murphy to Antigone. All smiles.
Nicole: You've seen Murphy before but she didn't have her marbles then.
Nicole: Murphy, Antigone's the one who rescued us over Vesta.
Murphy: I'm glad for this chance to thank you personally.
Antigone: I'm glad you got your marbles back.
