Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Transcript For Strip 917
Panel 1The Dinner party. Seamus, Johanna, Antigone, Nicole and Murphy seated around a round table, formally set. Autobots are bringing and serving food on plates.
Johanna: I do hope the food is satisfactory.
Johanna: At a science station like this I'm afraid we can't easily recruit gourmet chefs.
Nicole: Smells great.
Panel 2
People have begun eating. There is food on the plate before Murphy but she's not eating it. Murphy, Seamus, Johanna, Antigone.
Murphy: If I may ask, what brings you way out here to the frontier?
Antigone: Well for one thing, I need to discuss with Nicole her recent, um, situation with GENSAXWAL.
Panel 3
Antigone and Nicole, who is talking around her food.
Antigone: But we can do that tomorrow.
Nicole: Did I thoo thumpin wrong?
Antigone: You cut corners a bit too much but I think I can straighten things out. Don't worry.
Panel 4
Nicole worries anyway.
Nicole: But Cris … I mean, Isabel is delivering her freight to the GENSAXWAL station over Titan!
Antigone: She'll be fine. I filed a stay for her until we get loose ends tied up.
Panel 5
Murphy persists in her questioning. Johanna casts her a sideways glance but says nothing.
Murphy: You had to have set out for here before Nicole was kidnapped.
Murphy: What's your other reason for being here?
Antigone: You're a sharp one, Murphy.
Panel 6
Johanna, Antigone, Nicole, Murphy. The latter two are both cocking eyebrows.
Antigone: I have been asked to come to the Saturn system representing Smith & Holder Resolutions, to adjudicate a certain matter ...
Antigone: … which must remain confidential for now, I'm afraid.
Panel 7
Seamus and Johanna.
Seamus: Tomorrow Nicole will complete her final task and then her contract with me is ended.
Seamus: You said you would arrange transport back home for her?
Johanna: Yes, it's all taken care of, darling.
Panel 8
Now it's Seamus' turn to cock an eyebrow.
Johanna: There's a transport leaving in six days going back to Ganymede.
Johanna: She'll be the only female on board but I'm sure her bodyguard can protect her from the wolves.
