A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1The giant robo-fish regards Bok and his Dad, who are standing on the rock, frozen in fear.
Robo-fish: Subject 1 identified as Santiago Whalen Clark. Subject 2 identified as Bolivar Eustace Clark, minor child of Subject 1.
Robo-fish: Subjects are in violation of Rule 1041: trespassing on restricted wetlands, and in violation of Rule 874-C: attempted poaching of protected wildlife.
Dad: You can't ...
Panel 2
Robo-fish suddenly lunges forward and swallows Dad whole. Bok just about jumps out of his skin.
SFX: GWULP!
Bok: DAD!!!
Panel 3
Bok runs for his life, through the tall grass and shrubs. The Robo-Fish has legs and is pursuing him.
Bok: AAAAAAA!!!!!
Robo-fish: Subject Bolivar Clark is in violation of Rule 17: evading arrest.
SFX: (very small, across the bottom of the panel) beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep
Panel 4
Now Bok's legs are mired in muck, and he can barely move them. Robofish is nearly upon him
Bok: Nooo!
Robo-fish: Subject is in violation of Rule 843: Disturbance of protected wetlands …
SFX: (progressively larger) beep beep Beep Beep BEEP BEEP
Panel 5
Bok, now in his young-adult form, falls out of his bed, his legs entangled in the sheets. Clearly he was dreaming. His alarm clock is beeping.
Bok: Waaugh!!
SFK: Thump!
SFX: BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
Panel 6
Bok has disentangled himself from the sheets (he's clad in t-shirt and shorts) and kneeling besides the night-stand, one hand on his alarm clock to silence it.
Aunt Dorothy (OP): For Jacques' sake, Bolivar, turn off your alarm! I need my rest!
Bok (mutters to himself): Well, at least I won't be late for class.
SFX: BEEP BEE-
