Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Cut to a room featureless except for a chair, in which Macron is seated, his legs crossed at the ankles and his hands clasped behind his neck, as he tries to look relaxed. A pair of silhouetted figures are observing him through a one-way glass
Caption: Not long afterward:
Figure 1: So is this how you want to play it?
Figure 2: It’s vital to know what his game is.
Panel 2
Different angle, from inside the room. Sergio Cooper, holding a wine bottle pops-in in front of Macron. With him are a small table with a pair of wine glasses.
Sergio: Hello, Macron. Are you thirsty?
Macron: Depends on what’s in that bottle.
Macron: I expected you would try to drug me, but that will make little difference.
Panel 3
Sergioi pours a glass.
Sergio: This is a 3-year-old Pinot Noir made from grapes descended directly from seeds harvested from a vinyard in Côte de Nuits.
Marcron: And grown in one of your hydroponic vats, I suppose?
Sergio: On the contrary ...
Panel 4
Sergio is handing a glass to Macron as he holds a full glass of his own.
Sergio: … The grapes were grown on a planet called ‘Nouvelle Bourgogne’ which has several regions similar to its namesake on Old Terra.
Macron: Oh? How did those seeds miraculously survive the Calamities?
Panel 5
Sergio holds his glass forth to toast. Macron is swirling his glass a bit, sniffing at it.
Sergio: I said, ‘descended from.’ I believe they’d been cultivated in Argentina before their descendants were exported off Terra.
Sergio: Salud.
