Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole searches through Tough 1's pockets as Buford and Ventura observe.
Buford: What are you doing? You t'ink he has money?
Nicole: Don't be silly. I'm not looking for money ...
Panel 2
Nicole stands up, holding two gadgets. One of them is the Zinger-zapper.
Nicole: I'm looking for these.
Nicole: One of them neutralized my zringer.
Nicole: Don't know what the other is, but I have an idea.
Panel 3
Nicole thumbs a switch on the second device while glancing over at Ventura.
Nicole (thoughtsend): Ventura, can you hear me now?
Ventura (thoughtsend): Oh! Yes! Is that why my transceiver wasn't working?
Panel 4
The three girls gather around, looking at the gadgets in Nicole's hands.
Nicole: Fortunately my implant's sender works differently, so I could call Buford.
Nicole: But this sophisticated hardware shows these aren't just random street thugs.
Nicole: They're a gang of android-thieves.
