Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
In the cargo bay – the capsule containing Nicole has been opened, and she is being lifted from it by a man we can only see from behind. She has a breathing mask on her face and appears unconscious. He is not wearing the same clothing as Baines. Bobinardi is looking on and he is not happy.
Caption: A bit more than three hours later:
Wayne: That's not O'Murchadha!
Man: Oh, you noticed.
Panel 2
Swing the view around so we get a good three shot with 'the Man,' a jowly-faced fellow with a 5 o'clock shadow, Mr. Tombs, who is still carrying an unconscious Nicole.
Tombs: The primary target was able to evade me, so I took the secondary target.
Wayne: Mr. Tombs, you promise more than you deliver.
Panel 3
Tombs lays Nicole on a platform. Bobinardi looks on.
Tombs: I thought you wanted the information that O'Murchadha has.
Tombs: He can trade it for his granddaughter here.
Panel 4
Bobinardi sees the light. Tombs removes the breather mask from Nicole
Wayne: His granddaughter? Really?
Tombs: In a manner of speaking. He cares about her and we can use that to crowbar what you want out of him.
