Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Nicole is seated on the deck, cradling Murphy's body in her lap. She's looking at Murphy's face.
Caption: A few moments later:
Nicole: Okay, streaming my ocular feed now. Are you getting this?
Cristina: Yes! I can see her!
Panel 2
Closer shot on Nicole.
Cristina: Even in death, she looks so beautiful …
Nicole: Well, actually, there might be some hope ...
Nicole: She has a back-up storage unit. Did you see her with it when she came on board?
Panel 3
Cut to a close-up of Cristina in cyberspace. The area looks a bit different now, and there's a rectangle nearby showing an image of Murphy wearing her rucksack, just after she'd boarded.
Cristina: No, I … wait!
Cristina: She was wearing a rucksack when she came on board!
Cristina: She asked me where a safe place would be to stash it.
Panel 4
Nicole jumps up, accidentally dropping Murphy to the deck.
Nicole: Great! Where is it –?
SFX: CLUNK
Nicole: Oops.
